During the first half of 2011 the Company engaged in a project aimed at demonstrating the shock and vibration attenuation capability of RIASORB® within a Defence environment. The project was undertaken within a funding agreement reached with the Defence Materials Technology Centre (DMTC) and with the assistance of Defence industry consultants aadiDefence.
As reported in the recently released DMTC Annual Report Highlights 2011 the independent testing of RIASORB® at an accredited defence facility demonstrated a minimum 95% absorption of shock impulses. Following the success of this demonstration the Company intends to target a range of critical defence and commercial seating applications.

The potential of RIAS Technologies patented RIASORB® rotational suspension technology to improve the travel conditions for defence personnel will be evaluated thanks to a funding agreement reached with the Defence Materials Technology Centre (DMTC).
Supported by the DMTC and defence industry consultants aadiDefence (http://www.aadidefence.com), this project, which runs from January to June 2011, will evaluate RIASORB® for vibration and blast impact qualities for application across land, air and maritime platforms.
The DMTC is a joint industry and government funded organisation that delivers new materials technologies and manufacturing processes to enhance Australia’s defence capabilities (see www.dmtc.com.au). |

RIAS Technologies (International) Ltd is pleased to announce that a global license agreement has been reached in relation to the StreetSurfer business. Street Surfing LLC, a Californian sporting and lifestyle company that has been a StreetSurfer distributor since 2008, will now be overseeing the manufacture and distribution of the 5-wheeled cycle on an international scale.
Street Surfing LLC already has a notable global presence in the extreme sporting equipment market with its Wave Board and related products. With distributor outlets across America, Asia & Europe for its existing product lines, and an in depth understanding of the StreetSurfer and its target market, Street Surfing LLC is well placed to manage and add significant value to the StreetSurfer business. |

In conjunction with leading European component manufacturer, 3T, RIAS Technologies has designed a new seat post incorporating RIASORB®. The seat post is a comfort version of 3T's award winning Palladio product and is currently being trialled by the 3T pro team in the lead up to the 2010 Paris Roubaix.
Trials are going well, with a surprise appearance of the seat post on the bicycle of Vuelta Murcia stage one and two winner, Robbie Hunter. |
